INTRODUCTION

What is it?

Virtual Reality Therapy is a form of treating the patient to help them experience movement virtually and gain confidence. Recreational Therapists will use virtual games sessions to increase motivation for the patient and it can also help with gait training. Research shows that upto 30 minutes a day can be enough for a patient to see improvement in their recovery.

There are many different types of games people could play to recover as fast as possible. The best part of Virtual Reality therapy is that research has shown improvement in mental health and physical health. Especially for young adolescents it is important to stay motivated and enthusiastic to see the best improvements.

These type of VR game may need hand movement but they can still be very helpful way to aid in teaching hand-eye coordination in a simple manner. However, there are simulators that do not require any particular controls either.
